About Us____
Inspirationals from the Holy Bible:
"As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You,
O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come
and appear before God?" (Psalm 42: 1-2); "For I know the thoughts
that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of
evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29: 11); “I (Christ)
have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly”
(John 10: 10b); "I cried out to You, O LORD: I said, 'You are my
refuge, My portion in the land of the living. Bring my soul out of prison,
that I may praise Your name'" (Psalm 142: 5, 7a); "If anyone
is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold,
all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5: 17).
We are a group of conservative Orthodox Christians. Most of us are of Middle Eastern background. Some of us are Orthodox seminary graduates. We are affiliated with different jurisdictions of the Orthodox Church, which is the indigenous Church of the Middle East. We do respect all conservative Christian traditions and denominations. We welcome and encourage the contribution and assistance of clergy. However, this is a laity-led ministry. This ministry is based solely on volunteer work. This website is the presentation of St. Mark Evangelistic Association.
We are dismayed and saddened by the long decline of indigenous Christianity in the Middle East under the influence of centuries of persistent Islamic persecutions of Christians, and material inducements to them. Christianity has declined in the Middle East from the religion of the overwhelming majority on the eve of the Islamic Arab invasion of the seventh century, to the religion of persecuted minorities in the Middle East of today. This decline, perhaps with a few exceptions, paralleled the decline of Egypt, which is in the center of the Middle East, as a nation from the cradle of ancient civilization to an overpopulated third world nation unable to feed its swelling population. On the other hand, we are encouraged by the fact that despite about fourteen centuries of relentless Islamic persecution and material inducements, indigenous Christianity has survived in Egypt and the Levant protected by the power of the living Christ. The light of Christ still shines in the lands of Egypt and the Levant till this day.
We love our Muslim brothers and sisters. Therefore, we are concerned about your spiritual welfare on this earth, and your eternal destiny in the hereafter. It is our earnest hope that the light of Christ shine into your souls. We pray that the ever living Christ, the prince of peace, “be formed in you” (Galatians 4:19b).
The historical analysis in this website focuses on the history of Egypt. However, in reality, it serves as a paradigm for the history of other nations under the predominantly oppressive regimes of the Islamic invaders. The historical facts presented in this website are well documented and fully supported by many credible references and studies.
Every one, including non-Muslims and all Muslims of any national background, is invited and welcomed to participate, as “God shows no partiality” (Acts 10:34c).
This website strives to maintain a high standard of accuracy and honesty. Our goal is to give you the truth, not half the truth. Half the truth is a lie. We give you the full facts which are not easily accessible to you in your native homeland because of state sponsored Islamic censorship and Islamic indoctrination resulting in the mutilation of historical and theological truths. This is similar to what they do in communist countries in order to control and manipulate the minds of the people.
We invite you to examine carefully the material presented herein. For maximum benefit, it is recommended that you review this material in the sequence of its presentation in the navigation bar of this page. Take your time to reflect on it, check other credible resources including well-researched books and other good websites, and ask around. Please, do your research with a neutral open mind, devoid of strong emotions that blind the mind, so that you may give your mind a chance to know the truth. Do not deny your mind the light of truth: “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8: 32); “For I proclaim the name of the LORD: Ascribe greatness to our God. He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He” (Deuteronomy 32: 3-4); “You have redeemed me, O LORD God of truth” (Psalm 31: 5b). We hope that you become convinced of the truth of the Gospel (Injil) of Christ after careful evaluation (Acts 17:11), and that the love of Christ fill your heart. We pray that Christ may be born in your heart, that “Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith” (Ephesians 3:17a) and fill you with His peace and joy, that the love of Christ may renew your life, and that you may eat from the bread of eternal life. May the healing hand of Christ heal the wounds of your soul to make you whole, and may you find rest in the bosom of Christ as He has said: “Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30).
Christianity removes discord and separation between God and man, which is caused by the fallen nature of man. Therefore, Christianity establishes a new status for man with God. This is possible through close fellowship with Christ based on God’s continuous action and man’s continuous response. This new relationship between God and man is initiated by the loving act of God in Christ and requires man’s cooperation. The goal of the Christian faith is man’s regeneration and deification in Christ. This is not merely a superficial imitation of Christ, but a direct union with God in Christ. It is the total transformation of the human nature by divine grace and glory.
We pray that the light of truth may shine in your mind, and that the love of Jesus, who lives forever, may fill your life with hope, and your heart with peace. Let us share the love of Christ Jesus with you that you may “know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:19), and that you may “taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him” (Psalms 34:8). Let the healing hand of the loving Christ begin to heal your soul: "Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6: 2b).
